My name is Connor. I am a college student from Michigan and hope to one day study fish and other aquatic critters. I also very much enjoy bugs, and can often be found searching for them in the prairie. I currently work in two labs on campus; one is dedicated to studying the thermal tolerances of fish, and the other studies pollinators and the insects that eat developing seeds. My work generally fulfills me.
I have several hobbies that make me happy when I have free time. Watching movies, reading, and playing instruments are some of my favorites. Right now I am dedicating myself to learning the accordion, which might be my favorite instrument thanks to how happy it sounds. Occasionally I draw and paint tubby fish; their odd proportions are less of an artistic choice and more of my tendency to forget how small their heads are relative to their bodies. I used to cook a lot for my friends during the academic year, but as studies became more rigorous and schedules increasingly full I had less time and it was put on the back burner. Thankfully, my wonderful friend/roommate has revived this tradition and it’s been very fun.
